Ryusei Terachi, born in Sumida Ward, Tokyo. Catcher and third baseman. He began playing baseball in the first grade and was a member of the Joto Boys during his time at Kinshi Junior High. He transferred to Meitoku Gijuku Junior High in the second semester of his third year of junior high.

At Meitoku Gijuku, he joined the team as the fifth member in his first spring. During the summer tournament of his first year, he wore number 17 but did not appear in the Koshien tournament (top 8 finish). He made his national debut in the summer Koshien of his second year but lost in the first round to Kyushu Kokusai by a score of 1-2. After that, he switched to catcher in the fall of his second year and also served as team captain, leading the team to the top 8 in the Shikoku region. In the summer of his third year, they lost in the semifinals to Chuo High in an 11-inning game by 1-2 (Terachi went 1-for-4). He played alongside Daimu Daiki (now with the Giants) and Yusei Yoshimura (also with the Giants) in upper grades.

Standing 177 cm tall and weighing 77 kg, Terachi is a left-handed catcher who has caught the attention of professional scouts. A solid left-handed hitter, he can drive the ball to all fields with a powerful swing. He has anchored the lineup as the third or fourth hitter. After starting as a third baseman in his first spring, he was appointed captain and catcher in the fall of his second year. His ability to hit to the opposite field has also drawn the attention of scouts. Known for his strong desire to deliver in clutch moments, Terachi was a member of the U18 Japan national team. He runs to first base in approximately 4.3 seconds as a left-handed hitter.
